According to Osho, ideas are like seeds: without preparing the inner soil—silence, receptivity, and absence of prejudice—they remain mere words. Preparing the ground means meditation, awareness, and love, so an idea can sprout as lived insight. Otherwise, knowledge accumulates but no transformation happens. True understanding flowers only when readiness precedes reception.

Mahesh has the greatest number of temples. It shows one thing, that the East understood very correctly the beauty of destruction. To worship the god of destruction is to accept the fundamental of revolution . (The light your eyes perceive is not real illumination, Osho tells us.) It only reveals objects. It only reveals the superficial, it does not reveal the innermost core of things; the subjectivity remains unrevealed by it. For this you go from village to village, looking for eyes that can become a flame. You said, I am ready to make the total effort. On my side, the preparation is complete to take one inward. Let me not, at the time of dying, have to say that I was looking for a hundred people and I did not find them. If your readiness is there, come. Please clarify the meaning of “my preparation” and “your preparation.” What preparations are needed?
If you continue meditation, by and by it cleans you every day of the past, and prepares you for the future. It gives you a deep rootedness in the present... it is therapeutic. [An actor said he was now trying to work differently, presenting ideas from his unconscious spontaneously to the audience. He said he tended to be self-conscious and asked for Osho's help.] Much can be done... much can be done. But before you can do anything for others, you have to do it for yourself, otherwise you cannot be spontaneous. Spontaneity is possible only when you have attained to a certain inner flow of energies, otherwise you can be spontaneous but it will not be impressive; it will not be a performance. Osho, in your discourses each day you create such immediacy that every hair stands on end. A flood seems to rise in the heart, and a state like a peak experience is created. Then you say that if we are ready, the happening can take place this very moment. Please clarify this readiness a little more.
If you listen only with the intellect, you will hear only what I have said; you will be deprived of the unsaid. What cannot be said—you will miss it. The flood comes from that. With the visible I have tied the invisible; alongside the symbols I have placed that for which there is no symbol; into the bundles of words I have held the void.
