According to Osho, Kabir’s verse means our true companions are Rama (the source of grace and liberation) and the Vaishnava—the living guru/devotee—whose presence awakens remembrance of the Name. Beginning with effortful japa, remembrance ripens into effortless ajapa-japa, the inner unstruck Sound (shabd, symbolized by Om). Then the seeker simply witnesses, and liberation flowers by Rama’s grace.
Kabir says God gives freedom, and a true teacher helps you remember God until the remembering keeps going by itself inside you.
