According to Osho, for Shankara the world is illusory (maya) because it is ceaselessly changing; whatever shifts from moment to moment lacks true being and is therefore false. Only the immutable, eternal is real—truth. Osho adds context: Shankara highlights one side of the coin; in Osho’s and Krishna’s vision, the changing and the changeless are interdependent realities.
