What is the essence of rebellion of the soul?

According to Osho, true rebellion is the soul's solitary awakening from conditioning: an inner, nonviolent, meditative revolt that refuses the crowd's power-games. It does not replace rulers; it dissolves the urge to rule by transforming consciousness. Rebellion is personal responsibility, love, and awareness flowering here-now, creating a new way of living rather than fighting the old, shifting from institutions to insight, from ideology to individuality.

It's when you quietly change yourself instead of trying to change others.
