According to Osho, the 'psychology of the Buddhas' is the third storey of psychology: a science of enlightened consciousness, beyond the pathological and even the merely normal. It can be built only after finishing the first two—systematic understanding of mental illness and of the healthy mind. Unlike analysis of disorders, it would inquire into awakening itself. The East skipped step one; the West supplied it.
It means studying how an awakened person’s mind works—but only after we understand sick and healthy minds.
