According to Osho, avrat (non-vow) is our original condition; nothing needs to be added. What is needed is awareness. When awakening happens, the very qualities the vrati seeks through rules and rituals arise of themselves—spontaneously, without compulsion. Both vrati and avrati must become conscious of their stance; then virtue, order, and right living flower naturally, not by enforcement.
