According to Osho, there are two initiations: the “right” initiation that happens from the divine in the presence of a guru-witness after meditation and ripeness, marking divine acceptance and inner transformation; and the “false” initiation, a mere guru–disciple transaction (names, robes, rituals) without the third—divine—factor, which breeds illusion and blocks real awakening. The true guru simply witnesses and can confirm the event.
Real initiation is when the divine says “yes” inside you after you’re ready; fake initiation is just someone giving you a title or robe.
