According to Osho, hardships neither modify him nor breed resentment, because he has no philosophy to change—only a way of life arising from his innermost being. As the watcher beyond body and mind, nothing external can touch his essence. He meets ugliness with compassion, exposes hypocrisy without hate, and would face even death with love and the intent to awaken awareness in others.
