According to Osho, witnessing is not passive spectatorship; it is awakened presence that dissolves the mind’s doer and lets life sing through you. Only the witness can truly dance, sing, and taste life, because bliss overflows spontaneously when egoic effort ceases. The spectator is dull and afraid; the witness is vibrant, paradoxically nondoing yet fully participating, transcending both action and inaction.
Being a witness means you’re so awake that joy moves you naturally, unlike a sleepy spectator who just watches.
