No Dimensions Meditation is an Osho Active Meditation that weaves a precise, center-oriented dance with Sufi-inspired whirling and concludes in deep stillness. Beginning from the hara—the body’s energetic center just below the navel—the practice moves love through six directions, expands awareness with the voice’s "Shoo" sound, and then dissolves boundaries through turning, finally allowing all gathered energy to settle into silence and witnessing.
Rooted in Osho’s vision of meditation as a living, embodied process, this method uses music and clearly defined gestures to align breath, movement, sound, and attention. It invites you to move gracefully, to keep your eyes softly engaged where required, and to let the sequence carry you—first into centered flow, then into surrendering whirl, and at last into the dimensionless space within.
Phase Instructions
First Stage: Six-Direction Heart–Hara Dance
Duration: 30 minutes. Stand in one place with eyes open. Place the left hand on the heart and the right hand on the hara. Stand still for a few moments, listening to the music to get centered. When the bell rings, bring both hands to the hara with the backs of the hands touching and pointing downward, and begin the continuous six-movement sequence below. Let every movement rise from the hara; keep hips and eyes facing the direction of the hand movement. Move gracefully in an unbroken flow, keeping rhythm with the music. Make loud, clear "Shoo" sounds from the throat in synchronicity with the recording. Repeat the full six-movement cycle continuously for the entire stage. 1) Inhale through the nose and bring both hands up to the heart, filling them with love. Exhale with a strong "Shoo," sending love outward as you step the right foot straight forward and extend the right arm straight forward (fingers extended, palm facing down). Simultaneously return the left hand to the hara. Then return to the starting position with both hands on the hara. 2) Repeat the same movement to the front with the left arm and left foot. Return to both hands on the hara. 3) Repeat with the right arm and right foot, turning sideways to the right; hips and gaze follow right. Return to both hands on the hara. 4) Repeat with the left arm and left foot, turning sideways to the left; hips and gaze follow left. Return to both hands on the hara. 5) Repeat with the right arm and right foot, turning directly behind from the right side; hips and gaze follow back. Return to both hands on the hara. 6) Repeat with the left arm and left foot, turning directly behind from the left side; hips and gaze follow back. Return to both hands on the hara, and continue the cycle without pause.
Second Stage: Whirling and Bow
Duration: 15 minutes. Begin by placing the right toe over the left toe. Fold your arms across your chest and embrace yourself—feel love for yourself. As the music starts, bow down to existence for bringing you to this meditation. When the tempo changes, begin whirling: turn anticlockwise with eyes slightly open, arms stretched out to the sides, right palm facing upward and left palm facing the ground. Breathe naturally and let the turning take you over. If anticlockwise turning is uncomfortable, you may whirl clockwise; if you do, reverse the hands (left palm up, right palm down). If nausea arises, gently focus your eyes on the right hand. To end, slow down gradually and fold your arms over your chest and heart.
Third Stage: Silence and Witnessing
Duration: 15 minutes. Lie down on your belly with eyes closed. Let the legs be open and uncrossed so the gathered energy can flow freely through you. Do nothing—just go inward and allow witnessing to happen.

What Osho Said About This Technique
Osho, last night you explained inner stillness through the dimension of inner silence. Please explain inner stillness from some other dimension.
Jesus says that we are just dead -- not alive! One day, he was passing by a fisherman just as the morning sun was going to rise. The fisherman had thrown his net into the lake, and Jesus put his hand on the fisherman's shoulder and said, "Are you going to destroy your whole life just catching fish? I can show you something better to catch. I can make you a fisherman of life." The fisherman looked at Jesus as if some magnet was working on him. Then he threw away his net and followed Jesus. When they were just going out of the village, someone came running and told the fisherman, "Your father is dead. He has just died, so come home. Where are you going?" The fisherman asked permission. He said to Jesus, "Allow me to go home. Soon I will come back. I have to bury my…Read the full discourse →
What is dynamic meditation?
In the second step so many things are possible -- something different will happen to each individual. One person will begin to dance, another person will begin to cry. One will become naked, another will begin to jump and yet another will begin to laugh. Anything is possible. Move from within, move totally, and then you can proceed to the third stage. The third stage is reached as a result of an inherent sequence. In the first stage, the body electricity, or you can call it Kundalini, is awakened. It begins to revolve and move. Only then can the body be in a total letgo, not before. Only when the inner movement has begun are outer movements possible. When the catharsis of the second stage is brought to a peak, to a climax, the third ten-minute stage begins. Begin to repeat vigorously the Sufi mantra: Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! The energy…Read the full discourse →
In the cavity of the heart, which is situated in the body, dwells the unborn who is eternal.
THE EARTH IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN THE EARTH, BUT THE EARTH DOES NOT KNOW IT. WATER IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN WATER,BUT WATER DOES NOT KNOW IT. FIRE IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN FIRE BUTFIRE DOES NOT KNOW IT. AIR IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN THE AIR, BUT THE AIR DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE SKY IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN IT,BUT THE SKY DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE MIND IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN THE MIND, BUT THE MIND DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE INTELLECT IS ITS BODY. IT LIVES IN THE INTELLECT, BUT THE INTELLECT DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE EGO IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN THE EGO,BUT THE EGO DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE CONSCIOUSNESS IS ITS BODY. IT DWELLS IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS, BUT THE CONSCIOUSNESS DOES NOT KNOW IT. THE UNMANIFEST IS ITS BODY. The state in which the soul, with the help of the energies of the sun and other gods, and through the instrumentality of these fourteen: mind, intellect, mind stuff, ego, and the ten sense organs -- becomes sensitive to sound, touch and such other gross objects, is called the waking state. When the living being, on account of the unfulfilled desires of the waking state, becomes sensitive to sound, touch and such other gross objects -- even in the absence of the latter -- it is called the dreaming state of the self or soul.
This state of dreaming, the rishi says, means without the instrumentality of your senses. The senses are closed -- they are not aware of the world beyond you; now you are within your cells, within your body, but still you can create you own worlds. This creation of your own worlds in dreams becomes possible because your mind is a conditioning of everything you have known, you have felt; everything has been accumulated in it. It is an accumulation, not only of this life, but of all the lives one has lived; and not only of human lives, of animal lives also; and not only of animal lives, but of vegetable lives also. So in a dream you can become a tree; in a dream you can become a lion. Sometime you have been a tree: that memory is still there -- it can unfold. This unfolding of past memories,…Read the full discourse →
For example, it brings you the experience that not the body, so clearly, so solidly, so categorically, that even if the whole world denies it, it cannot make any difference: you know from your innermost core you are not the body. It brings you the experience that you are not the mind either. And the moment you know you are neither the body nor the mind, suddenly a door opens. You have never been born and you are never going to die because only that which is born can die. The body was born, the mind was born -- they will die -- but you were before your birth and you will be after your death. Once this reality is revealed to you all fears and all miseries disappear. You become part of eternity. Only one thing remains and that is pure consciousness. And pure consciousness is nothing but godliness.Read the full discourse →
