What should one think about dreams in which a person appears?

Cultivate waking awareness to discern the nature of your dreams, for only in the clarity of the present can the true vision emerge.

— Osho
According to Osho, dreams in which a person (the Master) appears can be of five kinds: mental rubbish from daily imprints; wish-fulfillment from suppressed closeness; an unconscious message to come nearer; past-life residue; or a glimpse of the future—and, rarely, a true vision. Cultivate waking awareness to discriminate among them; live fully and desirelessly so lower-grade dreams naturally fall away.

Dreams about someone can be trash, a wish, a nudge, an old memory, a future hint, or (rarely) a real visit—become more aware to tell the difference.
