According to Osho, satsang is the living field—the lake—of an awakened presence; devotion (bhakti) is the plunge and the fragrance that arises from it. They are inseparable yet distinct: satsang is cause and contagion; devotion is its effect and embodiment. Without satsang, authentic devotion rarely awakens; near the enlightened you either flower into friendship (devotion) or recoil in fearful self-protection.
Be near a realized person (the lake), and true devotion is the natural bath that happens.
