On some days the mind is a storm and sitting silently feels impossible. What then?

When your mind is extremely restless, the best meditation isn't about stopping the thoughts—it's about not fighting them.
Sit comfortably, close your eyes gently, and simply acknowledge: "My mind is moving fast." No judgment. Then return to your breath—not forcing it smooth or deep, but just feeling it as it comes and goes. Every time a thought rushes in (and they will!), imagine placing it like a leaf on flowing water; then bring your focus back to the breath without frustration. Even if you do this only for thirty seconds at first it’s still meditation. Over time, this gentle return builds awareness instead of agitation and slowly, restlessness begins to soften all by itself 🌊
