The Opawa Zendo, Zen Meditation Christchurch

"This Zen group is affiliated with the Mountains and Rivers Order, a well-respected lineage based at Zen Mountain Monastery in upstate New York. The Christchurch group operates from 4 Kennedy Place, Hillsborough, and meditate there several times each week. The atmosphere is respectful, positive and welcoming. Beginner instruction is offered by experienced meditators, introducing people to the practice of Zen sitting, and providing pointers on how to develop a meditation practice at home."
