According to Osho, boredom is not in life but in the bored mind; it makes reality seem repetitive, dead, and transactional. Children and lovers, being alive and present, find endless freshness. An enlightened society arises only when individuals drop boredom through awareness and love, regaining childlike playfulness; otherwise, collective boredom breeds mechanical lives, commodified relationships, and blocks the flowering of consciousness.
If people wake up from boredom and become playful and loving, society can be bright and wise; if they stay bored, everything turns dull and lifeless.
