"Despite explicit instructions to not make my meatpiey squeeze and break, this store still sent me a broken and chopped off meat pie that feels like someone took a bite before packaging. Also, yam portion isn’t worth the price and I think more yam slices should be added for the DUNDUN package. Barely eight slices were packaged. Not worth the price at all."

"What I ordered- efo riro What I got- a mix of old efo riro+egusi+raw efo mixed in sauce. I was standing right there when he was dishing the food and thought he was serving another customer… no courtesy to ask if it was okay…only for me to drive home (30 minutes later ) to see that mix. Very disappointing. Service was far too slow, I went to pick up 15 minutes after Uber eats notified me that my order was ready (it took about 50 minutes from the time I ordered) when I got there, order was not ready. Guys check your takeout before leaving the restaurant to avoid disappointment."

"Myself and my partner attended Africa Oye in Liverpool’s Sefton Park on Saturday, 22nd June. We were so disappointed by our food. The chicken was raw and when we tried to ask for a refund we were very rudely told that refunds were not issued as it was “not part of the business model”. We were then told we could have only half of the refund and were told that our meal was “only” £13, so why should we have a refund. Regardless of the price of food, our money is very valuable to us as we both work a very hard, and we expect the food we buy to be edible and not raw. When we showed the meat to the staff, they said that there was nothing wrong with the meat and that “everyone likes their chicken cooked differently, like beef”. Beef and chicken are not to be compared. You can eat beef raw but can’t eat chicken raw. Undercooked chicken is a health risk. Overall, we would not recommend this place. The pictures say it all."

"The pepper in their food is way TOO MUCH. You guys should realise that it's not everybody that likes too much pepper. Try to reduce the amount of pepper in your Asun and Pepper Soup"

"The Sharwarma wrap and jollof rice I purchased at Africa Oye was indeed the highlight of the day. The taste was out of this world! Definitely a returning customer"
