Maui Eco Retreat

"This past January I spent seven nights at Maui Eco Retreat. I stayed in the Dolphin room. William welcomed me and showed me how to use everything in my room and then on a map where the various local attractions and restaurants are. He was truly wonderful and always available to give advice. During my stay he regularly provided me with eggs from the chickens roaming the garden and greens from the greenhouse. I cooked for myself nearly every meal in the communal kitchen and ate in the solarium facing the garden and the sunrise. I woke up every morning to watch the sunrise, sitting on one of the loungers from darkness all the way till the sun came up in the sky over the ocean. My entire stay, I felt a luxurious sense of calm and well being. Maui Eco Retreat is a magical place: the sound (and sight) of the ocean, the wind in the palms, the calls of the roosters. The nearby waterfall and its deep, swimmable, private pools. I loved every minute of it."

"Pleasant, quiet and beautiful. A nice place to stay away from the "hotel row" energy of Maui between Paia and Hana. (The stories laid throughout the property about the owners are for a clientele that weren’t us, but that's ok, not everything has to be.) But Everyone there were all so kind, welcoming, and friendly, especially William. And the pets throughout the space made it feel a little more like home. Mahalo, Eco Retreat."

"My husband and I stayed at the Thai Hale bamboo cottage up on the hill/mountain overlooking the ocean at the Maui Eco Retreat. We totally appreciated the solar energy, outdoor shower, beautiful cottage and lanai. There is a kitchen so we could do breakfasts and sit out overlooking the ocean. We wanted to be away from the touristy condos and near The Road to Hana. It was amazing. We were greeted by William who showed us a map of the area and places to go. He told us about the fresh eggs for purchase (and we did). We love composting and taking care of Mother Earth. It is a lovely retreat we highly recommend."

"Spiritual, adventurous and re-energizing... We had an incredible experience at this amazing retreat. William ensured we find the location and greet us at the entrance with an umbrella followed by warm welcome by Kutira. William was super nice to provide a quick tour of the property and to do things in at the location which helped us plan our stay. We enjoyed beautiful views from dawn through dusk into fantastic star gazing. During the day we enjoyed and unique adventurous direct access private trails to the water pools and an amazing ocean loop right from the property. Both indoor and outdoor surroundings are meticulously planned and maintained to provide unique experience right in the lap of nature. Staying here also saved us time to explore Road to Hana. We wish we could enjoy the lotus pool and yoga pool. We would look forward to visit again, as there is much more to enjoy at this place."
