"I did my yoga teacher training in Isalayam Ashram in July 2025 and it is really a place of transformation. I encountered such a gentle guidance, a space completely free of judgment and ego. I learned so much, much more than I ever expected. I feel so grateful for having been part of the course and will come back for sure ! I can warmly recommend Isalayam Ashram."
"A stay in this ashram helps us to realize the madness of our daily life, the madness that cuts us off from ourselves and keeps us in slavery. It takes willpower to break away from it. Give yourself discipline and stick to it. I understand when Swami speaks of laziness... it is harder to take the action to break away from this daily life than to fall back into it, even if that daily life is only work and rigour. We must already discern what is just and good. Once this is done, we follow the path that gives access. During this stay in the Ashram I met real people and a limitless universe. I had followed the path of Masters in my life, but I had never met an enlightened Master. I discovered a 'being' without limitation. I saw a simple man, dressed in a white sheet, who walks barefoot and lives with almost nothing. I saw his eyes sparkling with joy, his genuine smile, I discovered a being in whom there is no malice. A being who speaks only of happiness, kindness, peace. There is nothing else than that in his eyes. It shows through. For the first time I met a being who shared his joy with me. A man of Faith who embodied his faith. For the first time I felt that it was possible: to be happy! I will never be able to thank him for what he did, just by being who he is. What I experienced: a realisation! An awareness that Joy: it's me, it's us, it's them! An awareness that we forget joy, we lose it because we simply no longer think about it! An awareness that it is there nevertheless, as for a child, it constitutes us. I also understood that the method taught by Swami is a real science, rich in content, but above all logical and profound. I still have to do my part of the journey: that of MY practice... I leave with one of his sentences in mind: "Faith will come through practice"."
"Isalayam is a very authentic, original and truly ashram. You learn and experience so much while staying there and taking classes with H.H. Jagadguru Swami Isa - from very practical matters like the joy one can feel by serving and caring for others up to a highly individual sadhana. It is possible to take part in the daily pujas and Swamijis Satsangs, readings and practical interpretations of the holy scriptures. You really can learn how to balance your life for reaching the highest goal of self-realization. I will come back again for sure and I highly recommend the experience of staying at Isalayam when you are looking for real knowledge."
"Anyone who is interested in meeting and learning from a real master is welcome at Isalayam Ashram. His Holiness Swami Isa has been here since the 1990's, and now has a school, a charitable trust, a higher education center, as well as yoga centers in other countries. The knowledge tumbling out of him is so new, so profound, and so simple, a child can understand it. He has a way of explaining the spiritual and the scientific aspects to bring the heart and the mind together. Swami Isa is easy to talk to, but please make sure you respect the traditional vedic customs in the Ashram. You should wear appropriate clothing. Every evening Swami Isa gives a satsang (class) in both Malayalayam (local language) and English at 6:30 or 7pm, after the daily ritual of Agni Hotra. There are daily and monthly yoga trainings. Yoga Teacher Training courses are also offered, taught directly by Swami Isa."
"If you are searching for peace, this is the proper place. I have been there several times and after getting immersed in the daily activities it seems that I have enough from India, I do not need to see other places. Every time I come back home from the ashram; I feel myself regenerated. It is like getting rid of old clothes and dressing bright new ones."
