"After moving to Austin from Minneapolis, I was in search of a Sangha that made me feel at home just as the Sangha in Minneapolis did. My search was complete with Austin Zen Center. They truly welcome everyone from all walks of life and keep the spirit of the beginner's mind with all beings who enter. There is quite a bit of etiquette to follow (posted on their website), but they never judge if anyone should ever miss a step. They recognize that we're all human, and that we are all amazing just as we are."

"Great environment and the retreat was decent, but I asked for specific help in an email for something serious that I’ve been dealing with and the email was left unanswered. Before I left the retreat, I had discussed my issue in person and was told to email and I’d be able to get help. I sent the email and never received a response. Save your money and choose a more genuine and authentic experience."
