Core Insight:
According to Osho, classical sannyas (as in Buddha and Mahavira) is a masculine path of meditation and knowledge that dissolves the “thou,” while woman’s native path is love and devotion, dissolving the “I” through relationship. These opposite methods clash; bringing women (and love) into renunciation unsettles male meditators. The techniques differ though the goal—ego-less void/wholeness—is the same.
