How can we reconcile the idea that religion is not for the poor with the teachings of great masters and saints?

According to Osho, truth is living and boundless; great masters spoke to the needs and limits of their times. We must keep their essence while updating time-bound rules—like Buddha's hesitation about women or Mahavira's night-eating—right then, not now. So claims about who religion is "for" are contextual; preserve awareness and freedom, adapt the form to today.
