Core Insight:
According to Osho, we renounce wonder because adult egos—parents, teachers, and society—cannot bear not-knowing. Instead of honoring mystery, they silence a child’s questions with scolding and hollow certainties, making curiosity seem wrong. Schooling and family pride crush the fragile joy of discovery; unable to say “I don’t know,” we trade living inquiry for secondhand answers, and sensitivity to the miraculous gradually withers.
