Core Insight:
According to Osho, meditation unfolds in four stages: 1) A deliberate build-up of total tension/energy; 2) Intensifying it to its peak through wholehearted exertion; 3) A sudden, complete dropping of all effort and control; 4) Effortless relaxation—the door itself—rest, emptiness, surrender, cessation, dissolution. The first three are preparatory steps; only the fourth is true meditation, which arises naturally after tension peaks and is released.
