According to Osho, enlightenment isn't universal because most people won't choose it: they prefer the comfortable 'sleep' of dreams, roles, and respectability to the radical aloneness of awakening. Enlightenment is our nature, but realizing it demands a total decision and the cost of dropping attachments - family identifications, nation, religion, ambition, false knowledge, ego. Few are willing; hence, they remain robot-like and unaware.
