According to Osho, there is no distinct 'male ego'—ego is simply ego—but what is labeled as male ego is a compensatory defense for a deep masculine inferiority before woman’s life-giving power, stamina, patience, and nonviolence. To mask this insecurity, men historically imposed artificial inferiority on women through control, deprivation, and violence. Freedom from this comes by seeing and dropping egoic fear.
