According to Osho, culture, society and civilization are alien to religion: true religion is a solitary, inner revolution that dismantles all social conditioning, identities and even the ego. Temples, churches and organized creeds are social substitutes, not religion. Authentic spirituality happens in absolute aloneness (samadhi), through self-transformation here and now—you can be free and blissful even in an unfree, miserable world.
