Core Insight:
According to Osho, death ordinarily happens in unconsciousness: long before the final moment we faint, nature’s protection against unbearable pain, so we never actually experience dying. With sustained meditation, however, awareness can remain present through sleep, fainting, and even death—revealing the deathless witness. Because death occurs only in the present, training attention to the now breaks the mind’s past–future habit and makes conscious dying, and a taste of immortality, possible.
