According to Osho, the loss is ours—yours, mine, humanity’s. In religion’s name we have traded awareness and authenticity for borrowed ‘character,’ becoming polished hypocrites who lie smoothly while forgetting our own consciousness. The damage is inner: truthfulness, aliveness, and wakefulness have been smothered. Only by dropping secondhand morality and returning to awareness—living from consciousness rather than prescriptions—can the loss be healed.
