Core Insight:
According to Osho, Buddhas do not return—enlightenment dissolves the 'I', so there is no one left to reincarnate. Many Buddhas appear across time, each fresh yet sharing the same taste, like new springs. Thus Osho is not Gautam Buddha’s reincarnation. Buddha’s prophecy of Maitreya is symbolic: a future Buddha will embody and teach maitri—friendliness—because humanity will need to relearn love and true friendship.
