Does the environment influence the perception of Zorba and Buddha?

According to Osho, the environment—social conditioning, culture, and historical ideologies—creates the very split between Zorba (the materialist) and Buddha (the spiritualist). East and West each adopted one pole to escape inner conflict, but this division is artificial. In reality you are a harmonious whole; integration, not choosing sides, ends the inherited, socially produced schizophrenia.
