According to Osho, the small/nuclear family is the chief source of neurosis: it narrows a child’s first impressions, creates lifelong fixations, and later drives partners to unconsciously seek their parents in each other—breeding conflict. He proposes communes that dissolve exclusive family ties, pool energies, and give children many caregivers, widening early imprinting and preventing psychological pathology.
