According to Osho, Sanjaya’s role in the Gita is simply that of a clairvoyant narrator: from far away he reports to the blind king Dhritarashtra what unfolds at Kurukshetra. This is a minor yogic faculty—remote-seeing—not omniscience and not a sign of enlightenment. Sanjaya was distinctive for this special power, but it has little to do with true spirituality and can even become a distraction.
