Core Insight:
According to Osho, cruelty is a misunderstanding born from the fear of death and the scarcity-rush it creates. Fearing attack, we preemptively attack; in competition to be first, our hearts harden and we even enjoy hurting. The root is mortality anxiety. Cruelty dissolves only when one realizes the deathless within—then urgency relaxes into trust, and aggression gives way to compassion.
