What happens when a spiritual teacher does not return as expected?

According to Osho, enlightened ones never return; rebirth needs desire, and enlightenment is desirelessness. Hence prophecies of comebacks are empty—either the teacher was unenlightened or the promise was a device to keep followers dependent. Waiting for saviors breeds postponement. The only authentic path is to drop expectations and transform yourself here and now.
