According to Osho, sannyas isn’t technically mandatory to relate to a master—love can exist without the embrace—but when real love and readiness ripen, the gesture of sannyas naturally happens. It’s a courageous declaration of surrender, a device to ‘erase’ the ego and enter the master’s emptiness. Though disruptive outwardly, bearing its challenges births witnessing and devotion, deepening the disciple–master communion.
