How can we prevent power from corrupting individuals in a hierarchy?

According to Osho, power itself doesn’t corrupt; it exposes the repressed desires already hiding in the unconscious. Hierarchies fail when masks drop and unexamined drives surface—most dangerously under absolute power. Prevention means inner work: bringing the unconscious to light through awareness, so impulses can’t hijack action—and designing checks that deny anyone absolute, unchecked authority.
