According to Osho, personality endures precisely while there is choosing or craving—down to the faintest desire, even the wish to be compassionate. Only total negation of desire dissolves the persona. In that vanishing, a final glow of compassion appears, like sunset's redness—quiet, non-interfering, easily mistaken for desire—after which the separate 'someone' is gone.
