According to Osho, hero-worship is spiritually harmful: it implants inferiority, breeds imitation, and fosters the illusion that another can liberate you. The idol gains nothing, while the worshiper becomes a counterfeit, crippled by comparison and dependence. No one can become Mahavira or Christ; each must flower from his own seed. Authentic growth arises from self-responsibility, not adoration.
