What have politicians been doing since peace was restored to the world after World War Two?

They manufacture and trade ever-deadlier weapons, fuel conflicts—especially in the Third World—to create markets, keep populations distracted with trivia, and normalize a perpetual cycle of war and ‘peace’ as mere preparation. The result: countless proxy wars, vast budgets for arms, and millions of deaths.
