According to Osho, no: collective auto-suggestion cannot explain such visions. The five hundred lamas are rigorously tested adepts who have mastered and illumined the unconscious, making them immune to individual or mass hypnosis. Their gatherings are wordless and selfless, preventing suggestion. Genuine contact with subtle-body souls is possible, but enlightened beings—merged with the universal—cannot be contacted in that way.
